THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, February 7, 1952, page 1, columns 3 – 4. “T. L. CONNER RITES MONDAY. Funeral services for Tim Lint Conner were conducted by Rev. Ira E. Carney of the Christian Church at the Cooper-Moore Funeral Chapel, Monday afternoon, at 2:00 o’clocck, with burial in the local cemetery. Casket bearers were W. E. Van Hook, Harley Minear, R. Z. Brown, Wendell Van Hook, C. E. Pierce, and L. D. Coughenour. The following life sketch was read at the service. Tim Lint Conner, son of John and Ellen Lint Conner, was born July 22, 1884, at Bondurant, Iowa, and closed his earthly journey February 2, 1952, at his home in Maxwell, Iowa. He was married to Gertrude Salmon, March 6, 1911, in Des Moines, Iowa. To this home the following children were born, all of whom survive him. Elton Conner, of Maxwell, Ralph Conner of Baring, Missouri, Mrs. Mary Hohrman,** of Bondurant, Iowa, and John, at home, and also the daughter-in-law, Edna Conner, and son-in-law, Harry Hohrmann.** He is survived also by his sister, Erma Conner, and brother, Asa Conner of Maxwell. Except for a brief time spent wit his parents, in Kansas, Mr. Conner’s home has been within the central four counties of Iowa, Polk, Jasper, Marshall and Story, farming being his principal pursuit. The family moved to Maxwell in 1940. Tim Conner was a trustworthy son of toil, attempting to qualify as a good provider, a good husband and father.” **The spelling Hohrman and Hohrmann were used in the obituary.
