Funeral Services for Mrs. Galbreath

Zearing, Aug. 9--Funeral services were held for Mrs. William Galbreath of Blue Earth, Minn. Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock at the Evangelical church in Zearing, following a service at nine o'clock at Blue Earth. Rev. R. E. Kerney was in charge of the service in Zearing. Burial was in the Zearing cemetery.Mrs. Emily Galbreath was born November 18, 1859 to Mr. and Mrs. Apollos Powell at La Prairie, Illinois. She moved with her parents to Chenoa, Illinois at the age of twelve and from there to Weston, Illinois at the age of seventeen.
On November 25, 1880, she was married to William Galbreath. They made their home at Weston, Illinois for twenty-one years, then came to Zearing in 1902.
In 1918 they moved on a farm near Blue Earth, Minn., later retiring to the town of Blue Earth, which was the home of the deceased at the time of her death.
Mrs. Emily Galbreath passed away Monday, August 2, 1937 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Golly where she was being cared for by her daughters during her brief illness. Her husband preceded her in death in 1929.
Mrs. Galbreath was a member of the Blue Earth Methodist church. She was converted and united with the church at the age of 19 and was a faithful and active member until her death. She taught a class of young men for a number of years at Zearing.
Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Walter Golly of near Winnebago, Minnesota; Mrs. I. S. Madison, Zearing; three sons, Delbert of Nevada; Orlo of Garden City and Glen of Flint, Michigan; one brother, Frank Powell of Red Wood Falls, Minnesota; seven grandchildren and a wide circle of friends.
