Mrs. Hugh Griffith Dies In Ames Monday After Long Illness: Rites Thurs.

Mrs. Hugh (Blanche Dayton) Griffith, 61, 1221 Dayton avenue, Ames, died Monday at 12:30 p. m. in the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, following lingering illness.

Born Sept. 24, 1897 in Nevada, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Dayton, she was a graduate of the Nevada high school and of Drake University. She was a member of the Fist Methodist church, Ames, the D. A. R. and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was married June 7, 1920 in Nevada to Hugh Griffith, who survives her. Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames with the Rev. W. Murray Allan of the Ames Congregational church officiating.

Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery.
