A deep shadow has been cast over the home of Mr. and Mrs. Claude French at Hartley by the death of their only child, Clark, a son about four years of age. The cause of death was tuberculosis. While he was never a very rugged child he seemed as well as usual until about a month ago when he was taken sick. All that was possible was done but steadily failed and passed away Christmas night. The little form was brought to the home of his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Clark French northwest of here where the funeral was held this afternoon and interment made in the Lutheran cemetery near Johnson's Grove. The bereave one have the heartfelt sympathy of numerous friends in this vicinity.
