ZEARING

Lee N. Ravlin was born in Kane county, Illinois, November 1, 1870, died in State University Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa, July 21, 1915, age 44 years, 8 months and 23 days. He moved from Illinois with his parents, at the age of 5 years, to Blackhawk county. At the age of 16 he became a member of the Christian church. He was married to Miss Mary Stubbs in 1892. To this union were born one son and two daughters, Harold, Mildred and Lorena. He joined the Methodist church at Whitten in 1894, where he served faithfully as superintendent of Bible school. He leaves to mourn his loss his family, mother, brother and sister with other relatives and friends. Funeral was conducted at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ada Norton in Zearing, July 26, 1915. The sermon was preached by John W. McLaughlin, pastor of Christian church.
