OBITUARY

H. H. ROBINSON

Henry Harrison Robinson died at his home in Kelley June 30th age 77 years and 12 days. He was stricken with paralysis last August and had been an invalid since. He was born near Westford, Vt. and spent his boyhood days on a farm. He volunteered and enlisted during the Civil war being a member of the 5th Massachusetts regiment. In 1866 he came west and located on a farm near Nevada. Three years later he was married to Alice J. McEvoy who with five children, survive him. The family residence has been in Story county for 43 years. The children Mary L. and M. G. Robinson of Kelley, Mrs. J. S. Bernhard of Des Moines, F. L. Robinson of Rolfe and H. M. Robinson of Ames and four grand children were at the funeral which was conducted Friday at his home by Rev. Harrison of Ames assisted by Rev. Violet of Kelley. Interment was at Ames. Mr. Robinson was for many years one of the representative citizens of this part of Story county and his death here noted with deep regret. He was a man of notable stability of character and he commanded a very large measure of personal respect and esteem.
