OBITUARY

Dr. J. H. SINCLAIR

The death is reported of Dr. J. H. Sinclair of Colorado Springs, and he will be buried Saturday at Des Moines. Advice came here to members of the McCall family, with which family he always maintained an intimacy, and Fred C. McCall is in Des Moines today to arrange for the interment there. Dr. Sinclair was the leading merchant in Nevada in war time, and he sold out about the close of the civil war to Johnson and Ringheim. He bought in those days and held until his death the Sinclair section in Richland township, and though he had been gone from Story county for half a century, his name survived conspicuously among the builders of the county. He is entitled to an extended notice in the columns and we hope to have data for such notice later.
