REV. O. P. VANGNESS
Died in Minneapolis

Rev. O. P. Vangness, formerly pastor of St. Petri church in Story City--and at one time, president of the Iowa Synod of the Northwestern Lutheran church, died last Wednesday in a hospital in Minneapolis following an operation. Rev. Vangness was on his way from Colton, S. D. where he was stationed to attend the church meeting at Minneapolis about two weeks ago when he was taken ill and on his arrival was taken to a hospital. His case was not thought serious and death came as a shock to his friends. The funeral was held in Minneapolis from the church where he was pastor for twenty years, before he came to Story City.
