Mrs. K. T. B. Nelson

Mrs. K. T. B. Nelson was born in Kendall Co., May 4, 1860 and died in Bruch, Colo., Feb. 2nd, 1916 having reached the age of 55 years, 8 months, 28 days. The deceased came to Iowa in 1865 and was married in 1880. To this union five children were born three daughters Mrs. B. J. Solyst of Garden City, Mrs. T. G. Pasco of Fargo, N. D. and Mrs. T. Goodmundson of North Liberty, two sons Eli Nelson and Walter Nelson both of this place. Besides her husband and children her mother, six brothers and two sisters are left to mourn her death.

Mrs. Nelson was an ardent worker both in the interests of the church and community leading a consistent Christian life thru her years. Her excellent disposition bright and winning ways won her a large circle of friends and it may be said "To have known her was to love her." It is sad indeed to record her death, but her struggle and burden bearing of earth are ended and we confidently trust that she is at home with all her loved ones who have passed beyond. Her place in the family circle will be sadly missed and can never be filled as it was before. To her husband and family is given the sympathy of the whole community. The funeral was held on Friday, February 11. After a short service at the house the remains were brought to Bergens church services being conducted by Rev. Smedal burial took place in the Roland cemetery. Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Eli Olson and Mr. John Thmopson of Newark, Ill.
