WILLIAM SCOTT DIES

Old Time Resident of Western Story County Passes Away

Ontario, Dec. 5 William Scott one of the old time residents of western Story county passed away at his home just south of Ontario early Sunday morning after a long illness of the hardening of the arteries and a complication of other diseases.

He was a prosperous farmer, owning the old Scott homestead which joins the college along the Lincoln Highway.

The deceased has a brother George Scott of Ames and Silvester Scott of Ontario. Besides a wife* he leaves 6 children, Charlie, Guy, Mrs. Anna Johnson, Mrs. Mabel Clarke, Oliver and William.

The funeral will be held at the Ontario Church of Christ Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, with interment in the Ontario cemetery.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: William T. Scott married Minnie E. Williams on 5 January 1881 in Boone County, Iowa.
