OBITUARY

MRS. CAROLINE LYMAN

Mrs. Caroline Lyman passed away Tuesday evening at the home of her son T. J. Lyman at the advanced age of 81 years. The funeral services will be held this afternoon at four o'clock Rev. Shirck of the Lutheran church conducting services. The body will be taken to Fresno, Cal., for interment by the side of the husband who passed away twenty seven years ago. Mrs. Lyman is survived by four sons, Wm. F. Lyman of Los Angeles, Thomas J. of Nevada, Frank of Fresno, and Charles P. of Los Angeles.

Caroline Florilla Mudge was born in Wayne county, New York, Feb. 2, 1836 and was married to P. C. Lyman at Greenville, Oklahoma where all their children were born. She has lived in Topeka, Kansas, St. Joe, Missouri and Nevada and in 1890 moved to Fresno, California where she continued to live until the death of her husband, when she returned to Nevada and has since made her home with the family of her son T. J. Lyman.

Mrs. Lyman was an estimable woman and a member of the Presbyterian church but being of a retiring disposition she was not well known outside of her immediate family. She had been in good health for on of her advanced years until the last few weeks when she failed rapidly until the end came Tuesday evening.

The Lyman family will have the sympathy of all in their hours of bereavement.
