CHARLES MALIET

Charles Henry Maliet, 93, died Sunday afternoon, Nov. 23, 1980 at Oak Park Manor.

He was born March 8, 1887, in Colo, the son of Nicholas and Anna Steffen Maliet. He received his education in the Colo schools.

On Feb. 18, 1914, he married Ida May Nagle [sic] at St. Gabriel's in Zearing. The couple farmed in the Zearing and Colo area until 1950, when they retired and moved to Nevada.

Mr. Maliet was a Mason and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

He is survived by a son, Dr. Leonard Maliet, Detroit, Mich.; a daughter, Margaret Maliet of Nevada; a brother, D. M. Maliet of Ames; and a sister, Mary Wheelock of Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his wife, in 1977; one son Lawrence, in 1940; three brothers, Henry, Mike and Nicholas; and three sisters, Anna Brock, Katherine Jennett and Ellen Maliet.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Nevada with Fr. James Supple officiating. Burial will be in the Zearing cemetery.

A Christian prayer service will be held Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. at the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada.
