Death of Andrew Johnson

Word was received here Tuesday by relatives that Andrew Johnson has passed away at the home of his daughter Jennie at Madison, South Dakota. The remains were brought to Lakefield, Minn., where he was laid to rest by the side of his wife who died a few years ago. Mr. Johnson is survived by two sisters. Mrs. P. G. Egenes and Mrs. Ole Haukoos of this place and a brother Joe Johnson of Story City. Mrs. Anna Johnson, a daughter-in-law went to Lakefield to attend the funeral. Mr. Johnson will be remembered as one of the old settlers of Warren Township. He had been failing for the past year.
