Andrew Schauper Dies Suddenly at Collins Early Today

Collins, Jan. 8 -- Andrew Schauper, 64, died very suddenly from a heart attack at his home here between 3 and 4 a. m. today.

Short services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p. m., at the Morfoot Funeral home in Nevada, after which the funeral party will drive to McCallsburg where the funeral will be held at the McCallsburg Presbyterian church at 2 p. m., to be followed by burial in the McCallsburg cemetery.

Mr. Schauper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schauper Sr., was born on a farm northeast of Colo May 26, 1875. Later he moved to the McCallsburg neighborhood and it was there that on March 8, 1899, he was united in marriage to Julia Baumgardner of the same neighborhood.

Several years ago they located at Collins where he had operated a service station business and other mercantile lines. It was here that Mrs. Schauper died November 24, 1937.

The parents are survived by the two sons, Russell F., of Collins and Harold of Maxwell; five grandchildren; his twin sister, Mrs. Emma Harris of Nevada and brothers Fred Schauper of Ames and John Schauper of McCallsburg.
