Woolson died from a heart attack near Mystic, Ia., while enroute to his home at Collins early Friday morning. The funeral services were held in the Collins United Brethren church, where he had served as pastor for more than a year. The services were in charge of Dr. G. E. McCanon of Des Moines, district superintendent of the United Brethren churches of Iowa, an the Rev. Leo Wilson of Adel, a nephew of the deceased.

A male quartet composed of Supt. G. E. Holmes, Bradford Stevens, Milton Hale and Kenneth Haas, with Mrs. R. G. Patton at the piano, sang "Rock of Ages," "Going Down the Valley," and "Nearer, My God, to Thee."

The flowers were lovely and were arranged and cared for by Mrs. Clifford Geisler and Mrs. Milton Hale. Interment was at Marengo, with Lew Harris, Geo. Jacobson, Walter Brown, Claude Shickells, R. G. Patton and Ray Evans all of Collins as pallbearers.

The following brief history of the life of Rev. Woolson was read at the services:

Leonard F. Woolson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Almon J. Woolson was born in Henry county, Ill., June 12, 1882. When he was four years old his parents brought him to Rockwell City, Ia., where they made their home. Here brother Woolson grew to young manhood.

On July 18, 1906, he was unite in marriage to Miss Fannie Mae Wentworth. After seven years of married life they adopted a daughter.

Brother Woolson attended Highland Park college in Des Moines, and he also attended Morningside college at Sioux City, Ia. He was converted and joined the Methodist church when he was a young man. In the year of 1907 he began preaching. He served in the ministry of the Methodist church of about 20 years. His work with the United Brethren people began in the Otterbein church in Des Moines 12 years ago. Other charges served in the Iowa conference of the United Brethren church are: Mystic, Talmadge, Letts and Collins.

Brother Woolson left this world very suddenly. In fact, his departure was so quickly taken that it left us all with a feeling of awe and fear. On Friday morning, Oct. 20, 1939, he and his wife were returning home from a visit with their daughter at Mystic. As they were driving, a little north of Oskaloosa, he felt sick. He pulled the car onto the shoulder of the road an got out. Before help could be called the soul took its flight to that heavenly home which awaits for the children of God. God called another of His children to his eternal reward.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife; three brothers, V. E. of St. Croix, Minn., C. M. of Vernon Center, Minn., and O. A. of Perry, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Lee of Madison, Wis., Mrs. Julia Peery of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs. Abbie Wilson of Des Moines, Ia.; his daughter, Mrs. Albert Rick of Mystic, Ia.; four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

The services were largely attended. The church was filled, with many unable to get inside. A group of twenty-five or more ministers with whom he had associate in the ministry, attended in a body, many of them coming a long distance. The Collins Boy Scouts, of which organization Rev. Woolson was assistant scout master, also attended in a body. All of the brothers and sisters were present except Mrs. Julia Peery of Oklahoma City.

Rev. Woolson had lived in Collins little more than a year but in that time he had made a large circle of friends who recognized in him a man of fine character and a leader of ability.

Ministrs attending from a distance were Rev. Gonzaley and Rev. S. A. Fisher of Mystic; Rev. Leo Wilson of Adel; Dr. G. E. McCanon, Rev. Harry Herlein, Rev. E. A. Elliott, Rev. H. I. Mikelson, Rev. W.
