Funeral Services for Mrs. Fred Kent Tuesday Afternoon
Funeral rites for Mrs. Anna R. Kent, wife of Fred E. Kent, former Nevada woman, who died at her home at Winnebago, Minn., July 8, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Lutheran church in Winnebago. The service at the cemetery was in charge of the Woman's Relief corps of which she was an active member for many years.
The deceased was a daughter of R. J. and Nellie Moyer Fitch. She lived at Johnson Grove north of Nevada as a girl and attended school there. Forty-eight years ago on July 5 she was united in marriage to Fred E. Kent and the earlier years of their married life was spent in or near Nevada. Six sons and one daughter were born to Mr. and Mrs. Kent all of whom with the husband survive her. The children are Ira LeRoy Kent of Glendale, Calif.; Mrs. Flossie Grady of Buffalo, N. Y.; Clarence E. and Harvey of Winnebago, Milo of Chicago, Oakley of Washington and Charles R. USS Pompano, of Mare Island, California. There are also 6 grandchildren, a brother Aaron Fitch of near Nevada and two nephews.
Mrs. Kent had for many years been an active member of the Royal Neighbors and for some years had been in charge of the Junior children of the order at Winnebago.
She was also an active member of the W. R. C., being a past president, treasurer at the time of her death and had also been chosen as state delegate to attend the national meeting in Maine this fall.
She is well remembered in Nevada and Johnson Grove where she spent many years before the family located in Winnebago 25 years or more ago.
