Funeral Rites at Farrar Church for George B. Wolf

Special to the Journal:
Maxwell, July 8--Funeral rites for George B. Wolf were held at the M. E. church in Farrar Friday afternoon at 2:30. The services were in charge of Rev. H. D. Robinson of Des Moines, assisted by Rev. H. B. Fay of Farrar with Mrs. Geisler at the piano.

Eldon Geisler sang "Going Down the Valley" and "In the Garden." The floral offerings were many and most beautiful being arranged and carried by Mrs. H. B. Fay and Mrs. R. J. Martin.

The pallbearers were L. R. Davey, C. H. Werts, Will Shaw, Martin Phelan, Harry Hill and Lou Huggins.

Burial was made in the Maxwell cemetery where the local I. O. O. F. lodge held the grave-side services.

George B. Wold [sic} was born November 23, 1876 at Red Oak and died July 5, 1939 in his home at Farrar. In the year 1899 he was married to Miss Kathryn Dewey of Lewis. They had lived at Lewis and Atlantic and came to Maxwell on August 1, 1919 and later in October, 1928, they moved to Farrar where they have resided since. They were operating an oil station and cafe at that place. Mrs. Wolf and her daughter Mrs. E. Lucile Scott will continue the business for the present. He leaves besides the wife and daughter, a sister, Mrs. Roy Hedges and brother Elmer Wolf of Atlantic.
