Mrs. Etha George Died Last Evening at Home In Collins

Special to the Journal:
Collins, April 21--Mrs. Etha Henson-George, 71, died at her home here Thursday evening at 5:15, after having been a sufferer for a number of years from arthritis and other complications.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Collins Methodist Episcopal church, with her pastor Rev. Ida I. Roberts, assisted by Rev. Woolson of the United Brethren church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Born in Washington county, Illinois, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Dickey, she grew to womanhood there and was married to Simpson Henson May 3, 1898. They moved to Leavenworth, Kansas, and while there their son Raymond Henson was born. The husband died May 7, 1923 and the son Raymond, his wife, son Eugene and daughter Wilma, are the last of the family. She also leaves a stepdaughter Mrs. Felix Viggers of Des Moines.'

On December 8, 1931 she was united in marriage to Charles George of Collins. He passed away about two years ago.

During her residence in Collins she had been active in the affairs of the Methodist church of which she was a member of the O. E. S. and had long taken a warm interest in the Happy Birthday Friends club of which she was a member.
