Henry O. Sevold, Story City Cafe Owner, Is Dead
Story City, Nov. 24 -- Henry O. Sevold, proprietor of the Sevold cafe for 24 years, died at his home here last night at 10:30, following an illness of several years. He had been bedfast for the past 11 months.* He was 72 years old.
Funeral services will be held in Story City Wednesday afternoon, it was announced today, but details has not been completed.
Sevol, who moved here with his family from Radcliffe in 1923, was born on a farm four miles east of Randall.
Surviving are Mrs. Sevold; two children, Mrs. Leslie (Irene) Twedt, Radcliffe, and Clifford Sevold, Story City, who operate the cafe; two grandchildren an three sisters, Mrs. Tom Ostrem, Jewell; Mrs. Olaus Rorem, Mason City, and Mrs. J. N. Anderson, Estherville.
*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: On November 25, 1947 (page 1) Nevada Evening Journal printed a correction: Mr. Sevold died at the age of 73 and was bedfast 11 weeks instead of 11 months as was reported in Monday's Journal.
