THREE FUNERALS DURING WEEK

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, June 8, for Mrs. Sadie Wilson who passed away Thursday, June 5th. Services were conducted by Rev. Allen E. Nelson from the Salem Lutheran Church preceded by a short prayer service at the Erickson funeral home. O. S. Boyd sang two solos at the church rites.Interment took place in the Roland cemetery with Irven Amenson, Elmer Amenson, Magnus Olson, Reuben Erickson, Chester Ellingston and Clarence Hovde serving as pall bearers.
Sadie Olson Wilson was born May 4th, 1892 at Roland, Iowa and passed away at a hospital in Des Moines on June 5, 1947, being 55 years, 1 month and 1 day old at the time of her death.
She was the daughter of Lars and Sarah Olson. She was baptized by Rev. C. C. Holter and confirmed by Rev. J. N. Sandven in the Salem Lutheran Church.
She was married to Julius S. Wilson December 25th, 1912. She lived her entire life in Roland with the exception of a few years in Graneda, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her husband who passed asway March 30 of this year, also her father, one brother, Otis, and a sister who died in infancy.
She leaves to mourn her passing her mother, Mrs. L. M. Olson, three sisters and three brothers, namely, Mrs. Elliott Thompson and Sanford Olson of Roland, Mrs. Jim Bergeson of Story City, Mrs. Roscoe Anderson of Radcliffe, Mikes Olson of Nevada and Lawrence Olson of San Diego, Calif.
Those from a distance attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Eli Walker and son and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walker of Milwaukee, Wisc., Mr. and Mrs. C. Hickle of Boone, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Christopher, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Brendeland of Huxley, Mr. and Mrs. Soren Tegland and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Olson of Randall, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Tokheim of Story City, Mrs. Henry Sevde of Ames, Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Sansgaard of Jewell, Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Knudtson of Dysart and Miss Joan Thompson of Des Moines.
