Nels Millang, 65, Is Dead at Roland; Lifelong Resident

Roland, Feb. 10--Last rites are being planned here today for Nels Millang, lifelong resident of this vicinity who died at 12:45 p. m., Saturday at the age of 65. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He had apparently been in good health until taken seriously ill early Saturday morning.

Mr. Millang was born Sept. 27, 1882, on the Millang homestead northwest of Roland, the son of Herman and Isabell Millang. He was married June 28, 1906, to Tena Nerem of Roland. For 25 years they owned and operated a restaurant in Roland until retiring a number of years ago.

Surviving him are his wife, two children, Hermes, Roland, and Mrs. G. S. Sprague, Ames; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Carpenter and Mrs. John Oppedal, Story City, and four brothers, John, Pete and Imbert, Story City, and Ole, Forest City.

His parent and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of a son, Hermes, returning from Los Angeles, Cal.
