Guilford Mullen, pioneer settler and veteran, while on a visit to his sister, Mrs. Lou Newton, at Winterset, answered the last call Monday evening if this week*, without warning, aged 82 years. He settled in Story county in the year 1864, in what is known as the Mullen settlement, and about 25 years ago he and his family removed to Aurora county, S.
