Geo. Grandy Died at Zearing Today
Special to the Journal.
Zearing, Nov. 10--George H. Grandy, 17, long time resident of this neighborhood, died at his home here at 5:30 this morning, death being due to inflamatory rheumatism and other complications.Definite arrangements for the funeral await word from relatives at a distance. In the meantime the body is at the Brouhard Funeral home.
The deceased was born at St. Charles, Ill., and came to Zearing with his people when a young man. He had lived here since with the exception of 12 years spent in the west.
He was a carpenter by trade and had been a member of Pacific Lodge No. 469 A. F. & A. M., since 1895. Of later years he had made his home with his sister, Mrs. Mary McLane [should be McClain] and it was there that he died. He leaves this sister and a brother, H. A. Grandy in Zearing, besides numerous other brothers and other relatives.
