Death Today Of Mrs. Frank Roche, Sr.

Mrs. Frank Roche Sr., 86, mother of Mrs. John Carmody, 908 K avenue, 410 East Linn st., Marshalltown at 6:15 a. m. today having been bedfast for five days.

The funeral sill be held Thursday morning at 9:30 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colo with the Rev. Vern F. Cross officiating. The body will be taken from the Ryan Funeral Home to the home of Mrs. John Carmody in Nevada on Tuesday, where it will remain until the time of funeral services. Rosary services will be held at 8 p. m. on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at Carmody home.

Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery in Nevada.

Mrs. Roche was born Aug. 31, 1866 in Alsace Lorrine, France. She was married June 21, 1887, in Alsace Lorraine, France to Frank Roche. She was a member of St. Mary's church, Colo.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Roche, by three sons, Joe Roshe of Zearing, Frank of Colo and John of Colo and by three daughters, Mrs. W. J. Curley of Marshalltown, Mrs. John Carmody of Nevada and Mrs. Harold Weuve of St. Anthony. She also leaves a half-brother, Frank Backoff of Marshalltown, a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Lyons, Feb. 21, 1942, and a daughter who died in infancy.
