OBITUARIES
Marion Minde
March 11, 1920, to Dec. 17, 1991Marion Minde, 71, of Marshalltown died of a heart attack at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
He was born to Martin and Agnes (Anderson) Minde in Story County. He received his education in McCallsburg. He married Irene Rosedale at LeGrand on Oct. 14, 1950. They were residents of Roland, Iowa, Wisconsin and Marshalltown. He was employed for several years as a machinist at Cooper Manufacturing, retiring in 1982. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was stationed in Hawaii and Guam during 1942 to 1945. He was a member of Dillon Trinity Lutheran Church and the Frank Lewis Glick Post #46 of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; three sons, Michael A. Minde of Richardson, Texas, Mervin D. Minde of Marshalltown and Dale I. Mine of Holton, Kan.; nine grandchildren; one sister, Ardis Johnson of Marshalltown Manor; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one grandson and a sister.
Visitation was held Thursday, Dec. 19, at Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 20, at Dillon Trinity Lutheran Church at LeGrand with Pastor Orville Jank officiating. Burial followed in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Military services were by Frank Lewis Glick Post #46 of the American Legion. Memorial funds may be directed to the Dillon Trinity Lutheran Church, LeGrand.
