TOTTEN FUNERAL SUNDAY AFTERNOON

WAS RESIDENT OF CAMBRIDGE AND NEVADA DURING HER GIRLHOOD

The body of Mrs. Harry Totten, who died Wednesday, in a hospital at Stewart, Neb., is expected to arrive here this evening over the Northwestern and will be taken to the Morfoot Funeral home, where services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. A. L. Pierson of the Lutheran church of Ames in charge.

Interment will be in the Totten lot in the Nevada cemetery.

Relatives who are expected to be present at the funeral in addition to those who accompany the body here will be Martha Ersland of Cambridge, and Mrs. S. O. Tendall of Northfield, Minn., both sisters of the deceased; and the brothers Joe of Kahawa and E. A. and C. A. of Ames.

Mrs. Harry Totten whose maiden name was Anna Ersland, was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Antin Ersland of Cambridge. During the period that the father was county recorder, Miss Anna served as his deputy and was well known in Nevada. They lived for a time here, after their marriage.

The Tottens had lived at Boulder and Denver for a time but of late had been at Carns, Neb. Mrs. Totten had been in the home of their only daughter, Mrs. M. K. Hepler, at Denver, where she had been caring for on the three children, now dangerously ill.

A throat infection developed and she returned home later going to the hospital at Stewart, where she passed away. The throat infection cleared but she died quite suddenly from complications which followed her resultant weakened condition.

Besides her husband, the daughter and three grandchildren, she leaves seven brothers and three sisters.

The brothers are K. A. Ersland of Driscoll, S. D., S. A. Ersland of Kansas City, E. A. and C. A. Ersland of Ames, Joe Ersaldn of Kanawa, N. L. Ersland of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Arthur Ersland of Chickasha, Oklahoma. The sisters are Martha Ersland of Cambridge, Mrs. S. O. Tendall of Northfield, Minn., and Mrs. Frank Schuessler of Verden, Oklahoma.
