NEVADA MAN HEARS OF SISTER'S DEATH

R. W. BODGER RECEIVED NEWS OF PASSING OF SISTER, FLOY HUTCHINSON

Mrs. M. C. Hutchinson, 52, well-known in Maxwell before her marriage as Miss Floy Bodger, died at Hollywood, Calif. Wednesday evening, according to a message received by her brother, R. W. Bodger of 1113 Lincoln avenue.

Mr. Bodger had received word on Tuesday of the illness of the sister, and had made plans to start immediately for her bedside, when a later message stated she had passed away an funeral services were to be held today. This made it necessary for Mr. Bodger to change his plans.

Mrs. Hutchinson was born in Illinois, February 27, 1879, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Bodger.

She came with her people to Story county, 35 years ago and located on the Bodger homestead, west of Maxwell. She attended the schools of Maxwell, from which she graduated, after which she attended Drake University and graduated from the school of oratory at that university.

She was married to M. C. Hutchinson, a minister, June 16, 1904. Rev. and Mrs. Hutchinson made their home in various places, including New Yor and other eastern points until about 12 years ago when they went to California, where their home had since been.

She leaves four children. One grown son, Max, lives in California, while the next, Ernest, is a student at Drake University, Des Moines. As soon as Ernest learned of the serious condition of his mother, he took passage on an airplane and arrived at her bedside just a few minutes before she passed away.

There are two other children, a boy and a girl, aged 10 and 8 years.

She also leaves two brothers, Ray W. Bodger of Nevada and F. E. Bodger of Des Moines.

Mrs. Hutchinson was well known in Maxwell as a girl and had numerous acquaintances among Nevada people.
