Mrs. Roseborough Died at Home of Father, Sunday
The funeral of Mrs. Hazel Roseborough, 33, who died at the home of her father, John Griffith, 708 Fifth street will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30, at the Morfoot funeral home.
Tuberculosis was the cause of death, Mrs. Roseborough having been a sufferer for the past several years. For ten weeks her condition had been serious. She was in a hospital in Des Moines for six weeks, after which she was brought to Nevada and had since been under the care of a nurse at the home of her father.
The funeral service will be in charge of Rev. C. E. Lookingbill of Nevada and interment will be in Center Grove cemetery in the family lot of the Griffith family.
Hazel Marie youngest daughter of J. W. and M. A. Griffith was born on the farm north of Elwell July 25, 1897 and lived there until the year of 1916 when she with her parents moved to Nevada, where she departed this life Feb. 15, 1931. She leaves besides the father J. W. Griffith of Nevada, Ia., four brothers and two sisters Mrs. J. G. Jones of Des Moines, Mrs. W. T. Hopper of Oklahoma City, Okla., F. E. Griffith, E. W. Griffith, Walter and Floyd Griffith all of near Cambridge. Her mother and two sisters Mrs. Ida McClintock and Mrs. Clara Whiteman preceded her in death.
SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Hazel Marie Griffith was married to Charles Henry Roseborough on 6 December 1916 and was divorced on 19 January 1930 in Story County, Iowa. She is, however, buried in Center Grove Cemetery in Cambridge, Story County, Iowa as Hazel Marie Griffith.
