John King Died at Kansas City

John King, 18, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Gilreath of Milford township, died at the home of his mother in Kansas City Sunday according to word received by relatives near Nevada. The grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilreath were called to Kansas City Friday by his critical condition and will be there for the funeral services and interment Tuesday afternoon.

The young man, who had lived with his grandparents and had attended Milford school for the past seven years, had gone to Kansas City on Thanksgiving for a visit with his mother. While there he had been taken ill with pneumonia, which late developed into mastoids, which necessitated two surgical operations.

He leaves besides his mother a sister, Mrs. Maxine Cooper of Kansas City and a brother James, who is at home with the mother. he also leaves his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilreath, seven uncles, Max Gilreath of Kellogg; Leslie Gilreath of Los Angeles; O. C. Gilreath of Winnebago, Minn.; W. B. and Clay Gilreath of Franklin township and Marion Gilreath of Ames; and an aunt, Mrs. Loren Huhn of near Nevada.
