COLLINS BANKER DIED WEDNESDAY

FRANK KIMBERLY*, 69, VICTIM OF HEART TROUBLE LAST EVENING

Special to the Journal.
Collins, Nov. 3--Frank Kimberly, 69, banker and well known landowner of this part of the country died at his home here late Wednesday of heart trouble and other complications. He had been failing for some time. Death came last night at 7:00.

Funeral service will be held from the family home in Collins Friday afternoon at 2:30 with his pastor Rev. John Adamson in charge. Interment will be in the family lot in the Peoria cemetery.

Mr. Kimberly besides being president of the Exchange Sate bank of Collins and the Mingo Trust and Saving bank of Mingo, was largely interested in the land holdings in this part of the state.

Frank Kimberly was born December 21, 1863 in Allamakee county, Iowa, a son of Isaiah and Mary Kimberly. He came with his parents of Jasper county when a child of three years and had lived in this vicinity continuously since. The old homestead was five miles southeast of Collins.

He grew to manhood there and was married March 4, 1894 to Miss Nettie Bence. They at once took up their home on a farm 4 miles southeast of here and there they lived until 1927 when they moved into Collins.

Two children were born to them. One son died in infancy and the other, Charles, with his wife and mother, survive Mr. Kimberly. Other near relatives are the three grandsons, Eugene, George and Richard Kimberly; two sisters Mrs. Thomas Swalwell of west of Collins and Mrs. Ruth Pearson of Maxwell, and a brother Charles Kimberly of southwest of Collins.
