Lock Funeral Sunday Afternoon
Funeral services for T. H. Lock, who died at his home north of Nevada early Friday morning, were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Bishop Funeral home and were attended by a large concourse of relatives and old neighbors and friends. The service was in charge of his pastor, Rev. LeRoy Kinser of the Church of Christ and interment was in the Nevada cemetery.
Turner H. Lock, son of Reuben H. and Mary Lock, was born near Hudson, Ill., Feb. 10, 1859 and passed away at his home near Nevada, Aug. 12, 1932 at the age of 73 years, 5 months and 22 days.
Mr. Lock was married to Ella May Whiteman, Jan. 23, 1889 at Gridley, Ill. To this union were born ten children, six of whom survive the father. Four infant sons preceded him in death. The children, who with the wife survive are Cassel, Lynn, Raymond and William, Mrs. Ethlyn Stahlman and Mrs. Edith Hagen.
Mr. Lock united with the Christian church at the age of 21 years at his home in Illinois. Later transferred his membership to Fredonia, Kan., where it remined until his death. Since coming to Iowa 23 years ago his home ahs been north of Nevada. He leaves to mourn, his wife who has been a true and faithful companion, six children, eight grandchildren. One sister Kate Hash of Fredonia, Kan., two brothers, Will of Hudson, Ill., and Reuben of Lemar, Neb., besides many other relatives and friends.
