SUDDEN DEATH OF MRS. BROWNFIELD

WELL-KNOWN GRANT TOWNSHIP WOMAN PASSED AWAY EARLY MONDAY

Word of the very sudden death of Mrs. E. A. Brownfield, well-known woman of southwest of Nevada, which occurred at the Des Moines General hospital, Monday morning at an early hour, came as a distinct shock to the family and friends.

Mrs. Brownfield, in her usual health had driven to Des Moines Sunday with relatives and friends and was spending the day at the home of relative, when she was taken ill during the afternoon.

She was hastened to the hospital, where she died early Monday morning.

The body was brought to Nevada and is at the Morfoot Funeral Home, where the funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30. That night the body will be accompanied to Chicago, where interment will take place.

Mrs. Brownfield, born at Gloversville, N. Y. was married to Eugene A. Brownfield of Grant township, December 24, 1915 and had been a resident of this community over 16 years.

She was a woman of many fine qualities and was highly respected and admired in wide circle of acquaintances.

Henrietta Dorothy Sauer-Brownfield, was born March 31, 1881 at Gloversville, N. Y., and died at the Des Moines General hospital at 2:20 a. m. Monday, May 30, 1932.

She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, E. A. Brownfield, her mother, Mrs. O. E. Francis, formerly Mrs. E. E. Sauer of Des Moines; brother Aldine Sauer [should be Alden Sauer] and family of Des Moines; three nieces, Naomi Siemoneit of Des Moines, Henrietta Siemoneit of Chicago and Mrs. Milton Foster of Santa Ana, Calif.

She was a former member of St. John's Lutheran church of Des Moines and was a member of the Shipley Ladies' Aid where she will be greatly missed. The body will be taken to Chicago, where burial will be at Mount Olive cemetery. The party leaving for Chicago will be her husband, E. A. Brownfield, her mother and husband, Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Francis, her brother Aldine Sauer and two nieces Naomi and Henrietta Siemonet.

She was the oldest of seven children and all have preceded her in death except the youngest brother, Aldine Sauer.
