AGED WOMAN IS DEAD AT STORY CITY

MRS. INGEBRIT FRALAND VICTIM OF HEART TROUBLE EARLY TODAY

Story City, Feb. 20--Mrs. Ingebrit Fraland, 83, for over half a century a resident of Story City, died at her home here at 8:30 this morning from heart trouble and other complications. While she had been failing for over a year serious illness was a matter of but a few days.

Funeral arrangements are still undetermined, pending the arrival of the children.

A native of Norway, Europe, Mr. and Mrs. Fraland had lived in Story City for over 50 years and here their children were raised.

She leaves besides her aged husband, two daughters, Mrs. E. W. Harris of Story City and Mrs. Neal Johnson of Sioux Rapids and one son, Sigwald Fraland of Storm Lake. She also leaves a grandson, Kenneth Johnson of Story City, a son Ingwald and daughter Jennie Fraland died about 5 years ago.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The Story County, Iowa 1925 census names Bertha Fraland's parents as Sam and Chrissie Brostad. The death record of Bertha's daughter, Jennie Fraland, states her mother's maiden name was Serena Sorenson. Bertha's death record does not name her father but states her mother's maiden name was Bertha Serina Olson.
