Harley Barnes Is Dead at Age of 88

Harley W. Barnes, 88, died Wednesday afternoon at 5:20 at Kathy's Rest Home where he had been a patient the past three years.

He was born August 15, 1875, in Ames, the son of William and Florence Barnes. A retired printer, he had been a resident of Iowa all his life.

Surviving are one sister, Miss Hattie Barnes, 530 Welch Ave. in Ames.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be at the Ryan Funeral Home Saturday morning at 10 a. m. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
