MRS. ADAMS DIED VICTIM OF STROKE

HAD BEEN RESIDENT OF CAMBRIDGE COMMUNITY FOR MANY YEARS

Cambridge, May 26--Mrs. W. J. Adams, longtime resident of this community died at her home here today following a stroke of apoplexy suffered Thursday morning.

The family had live on a farm east of town for many years, but a few years ago built a residence and moved into Cambridge where they have since lived.

She leaves her husband, a son Neal who lives in Ames and a son Orton Adams, who lives upon the old homestead east of Cambridge.

Cambridge, June 8--Funeral services were held Sunday, May 28 for Mrs. W. J. Adams from the United Brethren church in Cambridge of which she was a charter member. Her pastor, J. Wesley Peterson was in charge.

Of Canadian birth, her brothers and sisters still live in that land an were not permitted to be present at the final rites. The nearest living at Faribault, Minn.

Born in the province of Ontario, Canada, if she had lived until Aug. 19th, she would have reached her 80th birthday. Of quiet unassuming nature, she held the friends she made, was a faithful attendant of the church of her choice as long as her health permitted. She was laid to rest in the local cemetery leaving her husband and two sons to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The Iowa 1925 census names her parents as Neal McClain and Mary Morgan.
