ROLAND MOURNS DEATH OF WOMAN

MRS. DAVE STROTHERS PASSED AWAY IN HOSPITAL AT IOWA FALLS

Roland, August 16--Mrs. Dave Strothers, 51, well know farm wife of near Roland, died at Ellsworth hospital at Iowa Falls Thursday afternoon at 4:15. She had submitted a major surgical operation there about two weeks ago.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the Evangelical church in Hubbard, with Rev. Bergen of Grace Evangelical church, Story City, in charge. Interment will be in the family lot in the Hubbard cemetery.

Mrs. Strothers, a native of Linnville, Iowa, had been a resident of this community for about five years, living on the John Twedt homestead three miles south of Roland.

She leaves besides her husband, seven sons and one daughter. They are Charles, Lewis, Richard, Wendell, Robert, Wade and Floyd and the daughter Josephine.

There are also two brothers, Lidro Williams and Letis Williams of Caldwell, Idaho.

During her few years as a resident of this community, through her activities and many fine characteristics, she had become much beloved in the community and her death will be deeply mourned and sincerely regretted.
