Nels Sesker Pioneer of Cambridge Was Buried Today

Special to the Journal.
Cambridge, Aug 9- Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church here today for Nels Sesker, 74, pioneer son of this neighborhood, who died at the Iowa Lutheran hospital, Des Moines, Wednesday.

Mr. Sesker, taken ill a week before was rushed to the hospital and an operation revealed a ruptured appendix. Death was caused by peritonitis, which later developed.

The funeral was in charge of Rev. Peder Buland and was largely attended. Interment was in the family lot in the Cambridge cemetery.

Born and raised near Cambridge, Mr. Sesker had been active in the affairs of the community for many years. He retired several years ago from farming and had settled on an acreage near here.
Surviving are three daughters, Agnes Sesker, Ithaca, N.Y., Miss Julia Sesker and Miss Bernice Sesker of Glendale, Cal., four sons, Leonard of Kelley, Bayard of Maxwell, Art of Cambridge and Neil who resided with his father.

Mrs. Sesker has been dead for a number of years.

The four sons were with their father at the time of his death. Miss Julia Sesker was unable to come because she is caring for her sister, Miss Bernice, who is an invalid.
