THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, November 2, 1905, page 1, column 4. "William Woods who lived near Mingo died at his home on last Thursday. Mr. Woods was one of the early settlers of Washington Twp., Polk county, coming to that place many years ago. He was a man of clear habits and was highly respected by all who knew him. Mr. Woods moved to Jasper County about ten or twelve years ago. He was the father of Mrs. John Graham still of Washington Twp. The remains were shipped to Ohio for burial."
