Wm. Lingenfelter Buried at Collins

Collins, June 19--Funeral services for the late william Lingenfelter, 72, of Des Moines, who died Saturday morning at 5 o'clock at the University hospital at Iowa City was held at the Evergreen cemetery at Collins Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Geo. Cornford was in charge was in charge of the services.

The deceased was born July 12, 1862, at Palmyra, Warren county, Ia., a son of Geo. and Elizabeth Lingenfelter--and grew to manhood there, he was married in 1890 and his wife survives. Others surviving relatives are a sister, Mrs. Minnie Taggart [should be Tygart*] of near Indianola and two nephews, Geo. Lingenfelter of Leavenworth, Kansas and Harold Lingenfelter of Detroit, Michigan.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Minnie A. (Mote) Tygart was the daughter of Butler Mote and Mary J. Lee. Her mother, Mary (Lee) Mote, died in 1878 and some time between 1880 and 1900 she was adopted by the Lingenfelters and took their name.
