THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, June 21, 2005.
Norman Eugene Martin, 74, of Ames, died Sunday, June 19, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, at Calvary United Methodist Church with Rev. Lynn Elrod officiating. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
Norman Eugene Martin was born June 13, 1931 in Ames. Norman was a lifelong resident of Ames. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed by the Ames Community School District, Iowa State University and the United State Post Office.
He is survived by his brother, Jerry W. Martin of Front Royal, Va.; six sisters, Pauline Martin of Ames, Ruth Riffe of Winchester, Va., Barbara Crawford of Waterloo, Mary Carr and Paula Freeman, both of Des Moines, and Marie Mancuso of Sarasota, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Esther Martin, and an infant brother.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at Calvary United Methodist Church.
