THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, March 16, 1916, page 1, column 6. "SUDDEN AND UNEXPECTED DEATH OF MRS. WEAVER. Mrs. Elmer Weaver Stricken While Alone With Baby at Farm Home Near Loring. Mrs. Elmer Weaver passed away suddenly at her home, four miles southwest of Maxwell, Monday afternoon. Her death was entirely unexpected, as she had been in her usual good health, and especially distressing in that she was alone, with the exception of her little daughter, when the end came. Mr. Weaver, in company with his son-in-law, Leonard Link, had gone to Elkhart immediately after dinner, about 1 o'clock and returning about an hour later found his wife lying dead on the bedroom floor, having succumbed to an attack of heart failure. Deceased was about thirty-eight years old and leaves to mourn her untimely death a husband and seven children, three boys and four girls, all living at home except the eldest girl, Mrs. Leonard Link. The tragic death is indeed a sad blow to the stricken husband and family who have the sympathy of the entire community. The immediate neighborhood and in fact all who knew the lady and bereft family are saddened by the event. Funeral services will be held from the Mt. Zion church at Loring Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Pfaltzgraff."
