Mrs. Buffington Died at Zearing; Funeral Thursday
Special to the Journal.
Zearing, April 9--Mrs. Frank Buffington, 74, died at her home here Monday evening at 7:30 after a lingering illness, she having been an invalid for a score of years.Funeral services will be held at the Evangelical church here Thursday afternoon at 2:30, followed by interment in the Zearing cemetery, by the side of the husband who died 5 years ago. The services will be in charge of Rev. F. R. Blakely, now of Manley.
She was born Dora Smay in Illinois, September 5, 1860. They had lived in this community for many years. The mother died twenty years ago this month.
She leaves four children, they being Charles of Marietta, Minn., Homer of Butterfield, Minn., Joseph of Zearing, and the daughter, Mrs. Maggie Cerka of Zearing.
The daughter had assisted in the care of the mother for many years and had made a home for her following the death of the husband and father.
