TOM ERICKSON DIED SUDDENLY

WELL KNOWN ROLAND RESIDENT PASSED AWAY EARLY TODAY

Roland, Feb. 15--Thomas S. Erickson, 72, died very unexpectedly at his home here today. Although he had suffered from dropsey and other complications and had been failing for some time his condition had not been considered critical and he had been up during the early morning hours, but died at 8:00 a. m.

Funeral arrangements are as yet undetermined.

Mr. Erickson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Saul Erickson was born at Ottawa, Ill., but came to Roland with his family when a lad of six year. The family home was 2 miles east and 5 south of Roland.

He had lived in this community with the exception of about 17 years spent at Sioux Falls, S. D. and Sioux City, Iowa.

About two years ago the family returned to Roland and bought a home.

He leaves his wife, daughters, Stella Erickson of Los Angeles and Mrs. Ray Spofford of Minneapolis; sons Morris of Sioux Falls and Laurence of Sioux City; sisters, Mrs. Henry Amenson and Mrs. L. M. Olson of Roland and Mrs. Oscar Haughland of Marshalltown and brother Ira Erickson of Kensett.
