Edwinson Funeral Saturday Afternoon

Funeral services for Rasmus Edwinson, 60, who died at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown Thursday, were held Saturday afternoon at the Purcel Funeral home, with Dr. J. O. Simon, pastor of Memorial Lutheran church, Nevada, in charge assisted by Rev. Lee of Marshalltown. Interment was in Riverside cemetery, Marshalltown.

Mr. Edwinson was born south east of Roland, July 24, 1874. He lived there 19 years and then moved with his parent to Johnson's Grove, Story county, where he remained until he was married to Miss Lizzie Jagau, March 24, 1898. A year later Mr. and Mrs. Edwinson located at Marshalltown and had since made their home there.

Mr. Edwinson is survived by his widow, a son, Harvey, of Marshalltown, two grandchildren, Donald and Patricia Ann Edwinson; his mother, Mrs. R. J. Fitch, Nevada; a brother E. O. Edwinson, Ames, and eight sisters, Mrs. Lan Centers, Estherville; Mrs. Sam Oglevie, Mason City; Mrs. Roy Crain, St. James, Minn., Mrs. Emma Neely, Knoxville, Mrs. Sivrie Kinsey and Mrs. Sena Hudson, Nevada and Mrs. Evelina Rhoades and Mrs. R. L. Winders of Marshalltown.

He was a member of the Lutheran church at Roland, the moulders union, local No. 91, Banner lodge No. 123 I. O. O. F., Rebekah lodge No. 40, and Chippewa tribe No. 40, I. O. R. M. all of Marshalltown. He was a trustee of the Odd Fellows lodge at the time of his death.

Among the relatives there for the funeral, aside from those living in Marshalltown were the aged mother Mrs. R. J. Fitch, Mrs. Sivrie Kinsey, Mrs. Sena Hudson and Kenneth Kinsey of Nevada; Mrs. Emma Neeley and family of Knoxville, Edd Edwingon and daughters Mae and Doris of Ames, Mr. and Mrs. Lan Centers, son and daughter Magda of Estherville, Mrs. G. R. Crain and Clifford Hanson of St. James, Minn., Mrs. Sam Oglevie and family of Mason City, Bernard Rasmusson, Mr. and Mrs. Milinda Severade and son Louis of Roland and Mrs. Bessie Sills of Ames.
