"George W. Tolles, 90, of 1427 Twenty-third st.,** died Sunday at Northwest Hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dunn's on Grand, with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Mr. Tolles was born in Elkhart and had lived in Des Moines 40 years. He had farmed at Bondurant for 30 years and retired in 1957 as a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include a son, Clark, of Des Moines; two sisters, Bessie Tolles and Mrs. Stille Saterlee, both of Des Moines; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren." **Editorial note - spelling used in the original newspaper article.
