Funeral Services Held Saturday for Russell Glasgow

Funeral services for Russell Glasgow were held at the White Oak church Saturday at two o'clock with Rev. T. J. Zike from St. John and the 23rd Psalm.

A trio composed of Rev. and Mrs. Zike and Mrs. Kingden sang three lovely hymns with Miss Marjorie Conkel at the piano.

Pallbearers were Ollie Richardson, Ora Hitchcock, Orville Hitchcock, Clarence Sampson, Orville Pence and Will Frederick. The beautiful floral offerings expressed the sympathy of kind relatives and friends. Interment was in the family lot at White Oak cemetery with Cooper's of Maxwell in charge.

William Russell Glasgow, son of William and Ellen Glasgow was born on the family homestead south of Cambridge, October 22, 1902 and departed this life on March 10, 1937 at the age of 34 years, four months and 16 days.

He grew to manhood in the vicinity of Cambridge attending the Nippentuck and White Oak schools. He spent three years in the service of his country, serving in the cavalry at Fort Riley, Kas.

He united with the United Presbyterian church in Moline, Ill. in Oct. 1921. He leaves to mourn his departure four sisters Mrs. Olive Swacord [should be Savacool] of Auburn, Mrs. Erma Hanson of Morrison, Ill., Mrs. Erma [should be Erva] Hansen of Gilbert and Mrs. Gladys Sparks of Moline, Ill., four brothers Walter of Jefferson, Ore., Ira of Lake City, Clarence of Fergus Falls, Minn. and Romer of Chicago.

His parents, one sister and three brothers preceded him in death.
