Funeral of Simms Child

Funeral services for Laverne, the eleven-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Simms* of Des Moines who died following a mastoid operation, Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Church of Christ.

The services were in charge of Rev. De Loss Marken. The musical numbers were sung by a quartet, cousins of the deceased, Miss Vesta Fich, Arthur Fish, Earl Bowen and Mrs. Emmit Scott. The pall bearers were Fay Reitz, Robert Scott, Donald Hoyt, Carrol Miller, Fay Rupp and Hillis Greider.

Laverne is survived by his father and mother and a sister Arvalene and a large number of relatives. Interment was in Iowa Center cemetery.
