Last Rites Held For Ray Reynolds
Last rites for Ray Reynolds, who died Tuesday at the Mellor Nursing Home in Ames, were held Thursday at Coopers Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Rev. E. A. Walter officiated at the services.
Music was given by Alice Gooden and Ina Larsen. Esther Churchill and Joanne Longneck had charge of the flowers.
Casket bearers were Clifford Applegate, Bart Rittgers, Dale Scott, Horace Scott, Richard Welch and Anderson Coggshall. Interment was in the Center Grove Cemetery.
Obituary
John Raymond Reynolds was born July 9, 1883, in Blairstown, Iowa, to Charles and Caroline Reynolds and died Tuesday, July 19.
He was married to Minnie Louise Brown on February 24, 1908 in Des Moines. To this union were born three children: Mrs. Auton Frohlick (Vivian), Wayzata, Minn.; Chas. Audrey, Ames and Mrs. Marvin Tomlinson (Velma), Maxwell. Also a foster son Richard of Oakland, Calif.
Preceding him in death was his wife, who died May 18, 1955.
Surviving are his four children, five grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Orval Coburn of Des Moines and Mrs. Carl Woodard of Waukee, also a number of cousins.
