Funeral Services Held For Donald Thorsnes

Funeral services for Donald Thorsnes were held Tuesday afternoon, May 17 at 2 p.m. in Immanuel Lutheran with Rev. Ocee Johnson officiating. Mrs. Robert Hermanson sang "Den Store Hvide Flok" and "The Lord's Prayer" during the service.

Casket bearers were: Harold Henryson, Allen Jacobson, John Jennings, Carroll Hauge, Maynard Olson and Roger Thorsbakken. Burial was in the Story City Cemetery.

Obituary

Donald Eugene Thorsnes, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Thorsnes, was born March 4, 1936. He was baptized in Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland June 21, 1936. He attended the Sunday School and was confirmed in St. Petri Lutheran Church on May 13, 1951.

He graduated from the Story City High School with the class of 1954. During his senior year he was custodian at the St. Petri Church and worked wit the construction of the new church until a few days before his death, May 12.

Surviving are his father and mother, two sisters, Herma, Mrs. Robert Newhall, and Leona, Mrs. Curtis Henderson, both of Radcliffe; one brother, John Henry with the military forces in Norway and one adopted brothers, Arlo.
