Mrs. Abbie Shuey Laid To Rest In Collins Cemetery

COLLINS--Funeral services for Mrs. Abbie Shuey were held Saturday in the Collins E. U. B. Church at 2 o'clock with Rev. Leroy Sargent of Cambridge officiating assisted by Rev. G. M. Talbott, pastor of the Collins church.

Mrs. Allen Struthers, Mrs. Orris Swaim, Wm. Cockran and Milton Hale sang "In the Upper Garden" and "Near To The Heart Of God," accompanied by Mrs. Donna Ose.

Mrs. Flavius Pritchard and Mrs. Milton Hale cared for the many beautiful floral offerings.

Casket bearers were: Fred Anderson, Wm. Wilkening, Arley Wolf, Fred Luing, Flavius Pritchard and Forrest Granger.

Interment was in the Collins Evergreen cemetery.

Obituary

Mrs. Abbie May Shuey, a Collins resident, passed away Wednesday morning Nov. 3 at 9:30 in the Gilmore Nursing home in Nevada where she had been a patient for the past three months. One week of this time was spent in the Story County hospital in Nevada.

The deceased was born March 1, 1865 to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Dunahoo on a farm northwest of Collins. She was married to John W. Shuey March 1, 1886 and has lived in and near Collins her entire life.

Her husband passed away in the month of Jan., 1930. She is survived by two sons, Ernie of Collins and Glen of Rhodes and seven grandchildren.

Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Sarah Brodie of Collins; a brother, Fred Dunahoo of Hampton; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

She was a member of the Collins E. U. B. Church.
